NEIGHBOURHOOD & SURROUNDING

My group's task is to clean the exterior area (drain, staircase and wall and also paint the external walls ( 2 walls). Our group has 20 members so we had divided into 2 groups : cleaning team and painting team. So, I am assigned to the paint team.

REFLECTION
PHASE 1: My task of the planning proposal part is listing down what items we are needed during neighbourhood cleaning and painting process with my group members. We has spend 30 minutes in the discussion. Besides that, I am assigned to choose some colour schemes of the wall. It spend me much time which around 2 hours to decide the colours scheme and the wall design with my teammates. So I have chosen some neutral, warm colour so the place will not need clean all the time. All the groups have to meet up together and give some comments in our proposal presentation .( 3 hours)But after the presentation (30 mins ), I knew warm colour is not suitable as the location is nearby the forest. So, a brighter colour scheme is more suitable as children like colourful and lighter colours and also make the place more hierarchy. At last , the colour scheme that we have selected is yellow, blue and grey to have the contrast.
REFLECTION
PHASE 2: After the presentation, we have some discussion with the interior group about the colour of window and door framing . We also knew that the colour paint is sponsored by Kansai Paint. So, we need t0 find the specific colour and calculate the amount of the paint and inform to the sponsorship group. (2 hours).
REFLECTION
PHASE 3: We have a discussion with our lecturers about our progress. ( 30 mins). We had finalize the items we need during the cleaning and painting process, the wall design and many. After finalize everything,we spend 2 hours to buy all the tools we needed at the site.
PHASE 3: We had a small 30 minutes briefing at 9 am before we heading to our site. We spent 1 hour and 30 minutes and reached at the site around 10:30 a.m. as we had went through the wrong way to the destination. It is very far and the road is very narrow, as we went deeper,
we can see that the condition
there is quite bad.
We started to distribute the works
so we can finish our task on time.
We start with painting the base
again as the pre-painting work is
not done perfectly.
We painted the window frame
while waiting for the base
colour to dry up. After the wall
is fully dried up I am responsible
on the design so I start to use
masking tape to design the wall
and then we start decide the colour.
I have met 2 little kids and let them
have a try on painting.
After the hardworking hours, both wall is painted nicely and more visual comfort with the colours. Then, we are informed to colour the door as well. so we used the same design as the wall. After that, all of us started to pack and clean up all the rubbish. We painted the staircase at the last. Our day ended up at 8:30 pm, it is a very tiring but memorable day. I hope the kids there can enjoy the space and have a better environment for them to study. Lastly, thanks for the teamwork of my groupmates as we did it !
